Color E Ink is real here and genuinely useful for the right reader. It also costs more, trails the Paperwhite slightly on black-and-white crispness, and carries a rating gap worth understanding before you buy.
Best for: Comic, manga, and cookbook readers. Heavy highlighters who color-code their annotations. Anyone who buys by cover and wants the home screen to look like a shelf.
